On Monday, I had a somewhat reproving response to my recent blog and FB posting from a lady named Christa. She said, “I believe that global consciousness has shifted into a higher vibration. Why not be more optimistic about it?” It is a good comment and worthy of some discussion, not only as a direct response to Christa but as a follow-up to last week’s message.
First of all, I partially agree with her statement that the global consciousness has shifted into a higher vibration. However, I think it is more accurate to say that global consciousness is in the process of shifting to a higher vibration and that, furthermore, it is only at the very beginning of its trajectory. We have an awful long way to go to where our behavior in global terms reflects any such mass shift in consciousness. Globally, human consciousness is still firmly rooted in victim consciousness and the old paradigm. But, I do see and celebrate that there is movement. Of that there is no doubt. And contrary to Christa’s admonition, I am extremely optimistic about where we are now and what the future will look like once the shift happens on a global scale.
To be more precise, I am also totally optimistic about what appears to be happening out there in world, even as it is described by Kunstler in his iconoclastic blog to which I provided a link last week, just by way of an example of what might be ahead and how current reality is viewed in the prevailing consciousness.
My optimistic interpretation of what is happening is that the impending breakdown is a sign that the shift in consciousness is just around the corner and I am sure it will happen in my lifetime. I make that assumption based on the notion that the breakdown of all existing structures, both physical and mental, is a necessary precursor to a breakthrough into a completely new way of thinking and being.
I realize this might seem a crazy idea to some people, but it just seems to me that it’s a necessary part of the process. Change doesn’t happen until we are shoved out of our comfort zone. Just like a fever represents a healing crisis through which one needs to go in order to break through into perfect health and balance, the apparent chaos which is already upon us and seems very likely to get a lot worse, is indication of the impending breakthrough into a totally new paradigm of reality. So, Yes, Christa, I am very excited about it and extremely optimistic. Thank you for your reminder to keep seeing it that way. Like everyone else I constantly need prompting to maintain my optimism and resist being dragged down by what I see happening in the world at this time. I have to remind myself to hold onto the idea that it’s all good.
